And then one day, Jaeger — Ankush’s wife’s dog — ran into the forest and didn’t come back for hours. We searched, panicked, called his name over and over. But in vain!

He returned, finally. Shaken. Bleeding. But those hours? They were long and unbearable.

Fido was born from that helplessness. That deep love mixed with fear.
